Graphic Design

Universal Packaging Inc. has a talented and dedicated team of Graphic Designers who offer professional care and handling of customer art and who are able to create logos, graphics and anything required to create brand recognition for your company. Our graphic designers are happy to consult and work with you and your design firm with any questions or concerns.

Art Requirements

At UPI we take great pride in producing the best quality screen printing in the industry. A major reason why we can produce such high quality screen printing lies in our proprietary screen printing process. This process starts from the moment we receive artwork from our client or their design firm.

If the artwork is received in the proper format, we can turn the production proof around faster for sign-off with less chance for error. Thus, we would ask anyone submitting artwork to UPI to use the following specs:

Acceptable Artwork

Digital format that we prefer to work is:

• AI (Adobe Illustrator) CS3 or earlier, vector (line) art.

Fonts must be converted to outlines, due to this, please send the final copy that doesn't require editing as we cannot edit outlined type. Please do not send fonts.

We accept vector art in the following programs: Adobe Illustrator CS3 (.ai or .eps file) or CorelDraw and be sure to include any linked images.

Please include a supplementary PDF, JPG and/or paper label of the art so that the designers can compare the eps files to the PDF. This is to ensure there have been no problems opening the files.

Requirements

• A minimum type of 2mm in height.
• A minimum line thickness of .13mm/.369 point to ensure printability.
• Any precious metal paints require a minimum 1mm gap from any other paint to avoid tarnishing the precious metal finish.
• Please upload any files larger than 5MB to our FTP site.
