UPI uses state-of-the-art equipment from Europe and North America to provide our customers with world-class screen printed bottles.
Fermac
Our machines are able to screen print up to six colors at 60 bottles per minute. We are capable of running 1 bottle up to 100,000 cases.
Squeegie 1
Squeegies push ceramic, metallic, precious metal and other paints through metal screens onto the plain bottle. The paint dries instantly preventing smudging as the bottle passes by all the screens.
Squeegie 2
The bottle rotates 380° under the screen allowing us to wrap any design completely around the bottle.
Front of Lehr
Once the colors have been screen printed onto the bottle, they are sent through the Lehr - a 150ft. long kiln. The bottles are fired for approximately 90 minutes at temperatures up to 1130°F. This results in the paint bonding to the bottle and the screen printed design becomes scratch resistant.
End of Lehr
After the hour and a half of firing through the Lehr, the bottles are cooled for approximately 30 feet before being packed for shipping. The finished product is a unique looking bottle that is sure to stand out on the shelf and be remembered.
